how do you put pictures into your posts?

how do you put pictures into your posts?

When I cut and paste or drag all I get is the text part as in bushfarting.gif or laurabot.jpg

Help please!

6. There are some host sites that you can't link

to here from. ImageShack is one of them. If you use them, you will just get "IMAGE". Try photobucket.

It can't just be a picture on your hard drive. If you want a free account where you can upload pictures, go to www.photobucket.com.

Any hopes of DU updating so that pictures can be inserted from a home collection of pictures? I would donate extra to get that capability.

5. You still have to have them

hosted on the web some where. Your "home collection" could be uploaded from your computer to www.photobucket.com as has been suggested and then you just post the url with the image tag. In fact, Photobucket does the html tags for you. All you do is cut and paste.

It only took me a thousand posts to get it.
