What drug turns you into a zombie?
Like Laura Bush? I'm planning ahead for my Christmas cartoon and need suggestions. I'm thinking Thorazine. It's for my George the Second website:

1. Zombies like Pickles are usually enjoying a cocktail
to reach that state. The next 'scrip will make it all better, see.

10. I take lithium and it doesn't turn me into a zombie
It keeps me from thinking I'm superman or Jesus. It's very good at controlling mania. I guess it could have an adverse affect on you if you are misdiagnosed or don't need to be taking it, but for those who need it it can be a life saver.

Lithium is just a type of salt that occurs naturally in nature.

11. I had a good friend
who use to abuse the stuff. She was a zombie. I am not trying to say that it is a bad drug or that it has no useful purpose, but I am simply talking from experience.

14. Any drug is bad if you abuse it
Recreational or pharmacuetical. I don't know why your friend was abusing it. Lithium doesn't get you high. If you get too much lithium in you it can lead to blood poisoning.

8. Thorazine has it's own shuffle named after it.
It's actually called an "Extra-Pyramidal Symptom" one of my Nursing school instructors told us of when they came out with it in wide use in the Psychiatric Community. Some wild Shit. It will turn you into a zombie... and you'll walk like one too.

19. don't take much to get me: an adult dose of Benadryl will just
about do it. And if I have to take it for longer than 24hours, you can forget about it. I will be somewhere under the tile floor in the bathroom, comatose.

Chlorpheneramine (another old antihistamine) is just about as bad.

I sometimes take Benadryl when I need sleep, I use the liquid and take a pediatric dose!

I praise to the skies the inventors of non drowsy antihistamines!!!

24. Ah the smell of tetrodotoxin in the morning.
Interesting factoid: the fish don't actually make the poison - they carry symbiotic bacteria that make the toxin.

I watched a program on Discovery I believe about how many people in Japan who eat the fish will go into a state very close to death, but that they still have a heartbeat, very infrequent and very faint.
