My kitchen sink just exploded with water. |
|
The hot water line broke and water was shooting out from the bottom of the sink. My whole kitchen was a lake by the time i noticed. It's a good thing i was home. What a mess!

One of the not so pleasureable (unless you're Bob Vila) things about home ownership is upkeep. I dread the day something like that happens to me, but I've got the number of a good handyman seeing as how I'm not too mechanically inclined.

I'm good with electrical work, just not plumbing. I have a super lake in my basement too.

4. This is actually much easier. |

Sandpaper, solder, flux. All you need. Oh and a blowtorch helps. They're fun, too. :D

8. Naaah... flux & solder are cheap... so's sandpaper. |
|
The blowtorch will run about $30 but it'll last.

9. I tried to fix it once before....... |
|
My lake is probably because of my handy work. :eyes:
This is what happens when you buy an 80 year old house.

I, too, live in an ancient house. But it's a nice feeling once you get it working again.

Hate doing plumbing.
Last year the trap at the bottom of the kitchen sink gave out, my wife reached under and cut her finger on it , she promptly turned on the water to wash it off. Took her a little bit to figure out why her feet were getting wet
