Any "Looney Tunes" experts in the house?
I want to know the name of a Looney Tune cartoon.

It's the one with Sylvester, Tweety and the bulldog (Marc Anthony?) where they are chasing each other in traffic, end up with broken legs in the hospital.

The rest of the short is of the three of them in the hospital all trying to hurt each other.
I remember it as being really hilarious, but I can't recall what it was called.

Anybody know?

It's my 2nd favorite, next to "Feed the Kitty".

1. I don't know the name, but I do remember the episode. . .
don't they end up getting better, then running out in traffic again and the episode ends with them in bed with all the casts and stuff all over again/

2. Yep, that's the one!
:D

I don't know why, but I've always loved that one.

I think my favorite part is when Sylvester is given some kind of knock-out drug, and you see from his POV, Marc Anthony coming up to hurt him with an evil grin, but he just can't stay awake.....

Why is such sadism so funny?

9. Because it's happening to talking animals instead of people.
It's easier to take.

11. From the Laws of Cartoon Physics:
http://www.orton.demon.co.uk/ff/cartoon_physics.html

For every vengeance there is an equal and opposite revengeance. This is the one law of animated cartoon motion that also applies to the physical world at large. For that reason, we need the relief of watching it happen to a duck instead.

4. I'm not an expert, but I do have a book...
(Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies: A Complete Illustrated Guide)

Try A Street Cat Named Sylvester -- no hospital, but there is a dog and a broken leg.

Tweety is out in the cold and looking for a home. He finds his way into Granny's, where Sylvester keeps his presence a secret so Granny won't interfere with his chase. Hector the bulldog protects Tweety despite having a broken leg.

Sylvester hides Tweety in a vase and when he goes back for him he pulls out a dynamite stick instead. He hides Tweety in Hector's mouth and when Granny comes to give Hector medicine, Tweety swallows it. Tweety hides in Granny's knitting box and Sylvester winds up with his fur being reknitted in patchwork. After dropping a refrigerator on Hector, Sylvester winds up with a broken leg as well.

Sound familiar?

5. I believe it's called "Greedy For Tweety".

The toon knowledge here at DU knows no bounds.

Summary from IMBD: The chase between Sylvester and Tweety continues into a busy city street, where the puddy tat himself gets chased by Hector the bulldog. All three are injured by passing cars and taken to the city hospital, where Nurse Granny tends to the threesome. Innocent Tweety is the only one who tries to get rest, but Sylvester and Hector are always at odds, kitty trying to get at the bird and doggy harassing the lisping alley cat. Sylvester tries several methods to do away with the dog, all of which fail. At one point, Sylvester does swallow Tweety, but Nurse Granny takes the cat into puddy surgery (which results in a large bandage placed over his chest). In the end, Sylvester, Tweety and Hector are released from the hospital, but the chase quickly starts again and the three wandering into traffic. "Que sera sera," sighs Granny.
