Word Software
My daughter has an IMac with the Apple software. Where could I obtain Words for an IMac 9.0 cheaper then at the Mac stores. I also heard this was difficult to obtain.

Before springing for Word, I would try AbiWord: http://www.abisource.com/download/

It's free and might be perfectly acceptable, but it's only for OS X, so that upgrade would be needed.

There are also emulators that turn the Mac into a PC.

Firstly, thanks for being a Mac person! It is cool to know so many DUers use Macs.

Are you looking to open files that were saved on MS Words? If not, Appleworks or any free office wares work fine for word processing.

Whoo hoo! I just FOUND one for you! http://www.thinkfree.com/products/pd_office20.jsp I googled it. There are others. It only takes a few minutes to find. My search words were "word processor" "free" "mac". Good luck to you!
