Wha-wha? Stephen King on the Daily Show

Anyone catch Stephen King handing that red 'I'm an Idiot Too' banner to Jon Stewart at the beginning of the interview? King muttered something about the election and I watched the clip again (just noticed it was on the site today) and I still don't get understand what he's saying. Anyone care to enlighten me? Is Stephen King a Bushie?

7. He's a RedSox fan. The Sox kept calling themselves just a bunch

of idiots (as in "we're just idiots. We dont know we're supposed to lose". So towel that was a RedSox taunt at a New Yorker (Stewart). Although Stewart professes to be a Mets fan.
