6. Yeah. That must be tough.
You can't find anything where you are?

See. My problem is that I am not sure I can or want to come back to grad school next semester. I haven't looked for a job for a while. I would like to do something political, but I don't know how to approach that.

10. My husband is a manafacturing engineering manager
we have to go where the making of stuff is and as you know, those places are getting scarce. We'll be fine i'm sure, but i'm sick of moving.

Now, have you cantacted the DNC or any one in the senate about maybe being an intern? I would think you could network that way.

13. Intern or a full time worker.
Do you think that they would hire me as a full time worker? I was on the Salazar campaign. I would love to work for a senator. I may not be going to school next semester and that is why I have doubts about being an intern. I need to get paid. Should I send the DNC my resume?

21. One positive thing,
as you so well know (you've been there), kids are really resiliant. Change for good or ill is always difficult. Hang in there, it will be fine.

5. Hi!
How are things going? What's been happening with you lately? Holidays got you up or down?

I just moved to Germany back in September. It's been one HUGE Christmas-Fest lately. I put up my tree tonight. My husband needs one. He feels deprived if we don't. I'm the same as I ever am...I just truddle along.

Either in the political arena or in government. I have good math skills, but am not much of a scientist.

25. you can start toward that goal now
It might take a while but you might try starting with a blog and a website. Now is a good time because politics is more on people's thoughts these days than before. And what's the worse that can happen?

You could start researching on the Internet and writing and exposing your ideas to build up your portfolio. Once your site establishes some credibility, it'll be much easier to go hunting for work. Or work may just come to you if you have a successful-looking web site.

They say it takes about a year for a website to get really established but if you have a few bucks to spare, it can go faster.

You may have to build your website on your own but it beats watching soaps all day. And the Internet offers tutorials and helpful forums on practically any subject these days, least of all building a website/blog.

27. I might want to do some work on the inside.
I don't have money or time. I am also a little short on knowledge about web design. I would like to make money and some credibility, while I build a site on the side that will eventually get used.

7. Hi
Don't worry. Go with the job. The 10 year old will cope. Probably better than you. Do you have to move often? Where is this job taking you. One nice thing, where ever you go...when you come to DU we will still be here. :pals:

19. Hi Colorado.
How has the depression been going? Mine isn't doing too well right now. I'm really feeling kind of parylized.

As far a politics goes, I'm ready to just pack it in completely. I'm really disillusioned right now, even with the Dems having done fairly well here in the last election.:hi:

23. I feel that I need to fight.
I interned on one of the successful senate campaigns. I was wavering for a while, but if Colorado can do well, it should be a microcosm of things to come.

The thing is, I am still really depressed right now. I am afraid of what I have to do in the future. I need to look for a job, but I don't want to do a crappy job. I did that at an Office Max for 2.5 years. The thought of going back to that makes me want to puke.

26. I'm worried about the future too.
I've been in school getting my prerequisites for the nursing program, then my depression kind of sidelined me. Now I have to figure out how to get back on track.

I've mostly just been sitting around feeling parylized.

I'm glad Salazar got elected. Good work. I'm witholding judgement on him for awhile though. He seemed awefully conservative to me. I want to see if he will actually stand up for any of my values once he's in the Senate.

I may end up getting involved with Mike Miles' new organization, depending of whether it actually ends up doing much of anything.

28. I am not expecting Salazar to be 100% with me.
I think he will stand up for the environment and the people of this state. He has been a great AG. I don't necessarily want someone who is very liberal as much as I want someone with integrity and who will stand up for the people of this state. When I worked on the Salazar campaign, I called a lot of people to shore up support for Ken and I wound up talking to many people that knew/know him. They think that he is a great man. I am assured that Ken will stand up for us.
