When you first joined DU, did you "jump right in", or take a tour first?

21. I lurked for months, starting last spring

The first time I came to DU, on the advice of a friend (who may have been trying to get me off her board where I was causing ruckus after ruckus over politics heh heh) I immediately checked out all the links!

I have this weird idea that you can tell a lot about a website by the links on its front page, so I always check out the links first.

To be honest, I wasn't all that impressed with the links I found at DU at the time - probably because DU is the best political board and I just didn't know what I had!

I skipped all the in-fighting during the primaries. I was ABB and I really didn't care if the party nominated Mickey Mouse I was going to vote for him, her, or it.

I finally joined early last summer and now they can't shut me up. Sort of a sad story, really.

The first place I always check here is the Lounge.
