I want to bludgeon the writer of those Old Navy commercials!
:grr:
What the hell were they thinking? Who wrote those horrible "lyrics? Third graders?

Gawd, I always *hated* their ads but these Christmas ones take the cake. I wouldn't buy from them now if they were the last clothing store on Earth.

Not that I would have before I heard that enraging ad....

1. But you remembered the ad, didn't you? :)
That means the advertisers did their job. That crap will be stuck in your head until February :).

8. I don't shop there anyway, but honestly . . .
I thought the non-rhyming jingle to a classic tune was pretty clever.

It makes you pay attention because although it's reconizable, there's something that doesn't quite fit, so you're forced to pay attention to try and figure out what's wrong with what you're hearing.

I think it's actually a pretty decent ad (especially compared to some of the crap they've had in the past).

Like I said, I never shop there anyway (I think I have a pair of jeans from there and a shirt, both gifts), but that ad (as annoying as it is) was actually pretty good marketing.

9. AAAARAAGH!!!!! I know you're right.... *sigh*
It still offends my musician sensibilities. And something about Old Navy ads has always ticked me off anyway.

If you MRI'ed me during their ads, my brain would probably be a Christmas tree of revulsion.... dunno why

the dancing doggie commercials. How do they get those dogs to dance is beyond me!

4. Yes! I especially hate the sweater one with the smug people ringing
bells, I just want to smack them, and the lyrics are so stupid!

10. heh, heh, I thought the same thing, but despite her loveliness, the lyrics
suck, and I wouldn't mind turning her over her knee and smacking that silly smug look off;) (and I'm a girl, so I guess that's ok to talk about spanking in a playful way)

5. I loathe Old Navy - both the ads and the clothes
and you can bet your last dollar that everything in those stores is made in the third world, if not in sweat shops, then as near as makes no difference.
