4. Thanks for the concern CatBoreal
Danielle is doing ok today.Shes is bouncing back well.
I sent the jerks wife to a local christian center for support and help since her hubby is in jail.
My older daughter Renee is now actually more upset. She`s got alot of anger to work through.I am trying to be calm.I hope I am showing her how to resolve issues with people in a kind manner.
Both of my girls asked for a kitten for christmas.I do not think I can handle that at this point.Perhaps in the future.I did take one suggestion from DU.I sent a picture of my Misty and an explaination of what he did to his church. That was really petty of me.I am somewhat ashamed I did that.
Hes in jail. He`s looking at 1 year probation and 500.00 fine for animal cruelty.I do not know if they straightened out his weapons charges yet.He was unable to post bail.I must say a deeply felt thank you to all of DU for your understanding and letting me rant!It so helped me.
Sincerely Lindy

5. I don't think that was petty at all.
I think people need to know what kind of a loon this guy is, for their own sake.

6. If you sent it to his church, then it went to the pastor.
And that, believe it or not, is a good thing. If I received such a letter, I would be grateful to hear from the victims of a crime. It can go a long way in dealing with a parishoner and helping them see the severity of their crime.

My prayers are still with you and your family.

7. Sorry about your cat
Glad that asshole is in the can...How did the police act in this case? You probably saw all the threads regarding your situation. I was wondering if you felt the police was the best way to go. I think you did the right thing by going to the state police and not taking the law into your own hands. Kudos for the level head under dire circumstances.

8. The police treated it rather seriously.
They were actually rather nice about the whole thing.I was somewhat surprised.I thought they would just blow the whole thing off.I feel bad for sending the pictures and note because my intent was not to inform the pastor for the church`s well being but more in lines with snitchiness.

9. no you did the right thing....
He needs to come clean with the pastor and face his crime morally with his congregation...as well as legally with the man....

once again kudos for being the only civilized man in the house.

13. It was the correct thing to do to notify the church.
I recall you said he drives the church school bus. They need to know about this nutjob's temperament. What if one of the kids on the bus got on his last nerve? Or if he got a bad case of road rage while driving with a load of kids? Would he whip out his 9mm and let loose? They need to know this.

18. Actually, while you're unhappy with your motivation ...
perhaps his church is the one place he will listen to somebody who tries to help him. I know you don't feel right about it because of the reason you did it, but we can always hope it will encourage those people he might actually listen to. He sounds like somebody with serious anger management problems, but somebody who might not seek help otherwise -- maybe someone in his church can sort of nudge him into some kind of counseling. It doesn't matter where he gets it, as long as somebody helps him learn to deal with this stuff in more productive ways than he has so far.

11. I missed the rest of the original thread... was there proof that he did
this (was this the cat shooting with the 9mm?)? Did he admit to doing it?

14. You are very kind to have helped the wife of the psycho.
I don't know if I could have done that in your situation. I am quite glad to hear that this maniac is in jail. My best to your family.

16. **HUGS**
I don't think it was petty. I think the pastor needs to see the results of how his religion could be twisted.

Have you made any provisions for when this nutcase gets out of jail?

Don't worry, your girls will deal with it and get over their anger.

Hope all goes well.

They're all going to find out soon enough that he's in jail. (Which is where he belongs.)

Again, I'm so sorry for your whole family. I understand how hard it is to think about getting another kitten now. Eventually you'll be able to get one. to all of you

Maybe it'll open their eyes.

As for the guy's wife, I wouldn't be surprised if she was a victim of his abuse herself.

 for you and your family.............

15. I was deeply disturbed by what happened to your family
I was so shocked by this madness. As a cat lover, i am deeply offended and as a human being with some sense of civility I am outraged.

My prayers for you and your family, as well as for your poor kitty.

20. but none for the perp?
Forgive me, but he needs them too.

The children in this story may be hurting now, but I doubt it is the same sort of hurt that guy feels.

Don't get me wrong, jail is not overkill (forgive) for doing terrible things, but he too is human, he too feels pain, he too can redeem himself.

21. Very true KinkyDem
as I said in my first posting I impressed on my daughters that bad deeds do not make a bad person.Fear, pain and rejection makes a person sometimes act in an irrational way.I am not a person that is into jail for revenges sake but I do fear this man did need a "adult time out" if you would.
I do fear for his children and wife .They did make the bad choice he did.He owns his decision they do not.I really feel bad because he is pronely going to be in jail over the holidays.
