This might sound silly, but how is roasted broccoli?
Edited on Wed Dec-08-04 10:43 PM by jpgray
I'm in an experimental mood tonight, and want to try penne with roasted broccoli in a balsamic butter sauce. I've never roasted the suckers before, though I have sauted them on very high heat--should taste good, no? Plus the copycats of this might be funny.

:D

2. Hmm.
I was thinking of keeping it simple--just tossing them with oil, salt and pepper and then roasting them at 400 F for ten minutes or so.

6. I stuff a tin foil bag with butter, potatoes, broccoli and carrots
and slap 'em on the grill for 25 minutes. I personally like the little butter-burnt tips.

8. I love it.
I made some last week.
Brocolli, summer squash, and red onion

In olive oil

I made a big 9" x 13" pan of it and it was gone the next day.

:9

I use to add potato too but I'm trying to lose a few lbs.

10. How long do you roast it for, and at what temperature?
That does sound delicious, by the way. Perhaps this thread should have been started in the cooking group that no doubt exists. :P

12. 350 I check it every 20 minutes and stir it.
I like it well done so I do it for an hour. But that's a matter of taste as it is cooked in 20. Sometimes I have cooked it longer. If I have potatoes in it I cook it 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.

9. I've been wondering about smoked artichokes.
It's not the same as broccoli, but funny that you should ask.
