Do We Have Any Polar Bears Here?

I mean, Polar Bear Club members?

The crazies, I mean, people who go swimming in the freezing cold?

in Chicago usually do their dip in Lake Michigan on New Years Day, I believe.

Have to give it to them, why anyone would want to even put a foot in Lake Michigan in January is beyond me. Instant hypothermia comes to mind.

edited for typo

2. I just posted a picture of an albino black bear. Does that count?
How do I code my message so the pictures appear in the message like yours do?

5. Your URL's were just screwy is all...
just put it in like this instead:

https://mywebspace.wisc.edu/jcbeal/web/100.jp g

*NOTE: I left a space between the 'p' & 'g' so that it wouldn't actually display the image here, so when you post the URL, don't include that lil space ;)

8. I took the "Polar Plunge!"
I had a job in McMurdo station Antarctica a few years back and in the Antarctic program there is a rite of passage known as the polar plunge. You get to jump through a hole in the ice into McMurdo sound. If you wanna do it right you have to do it naked. YOu do get to do it inside a heated hut though--after you run around outside it though.

Brisk AND refreshing.

Any Plamer Station folks out there? They are the real champions here.
