He PMed over that? That's a desperate cry for attention. He's trying to start some sort of love-hate relationship in which he dreams of you getting so angry at each other you start cyber-making out.

Which is impossible, as everyone knows.

I have a personal punctuation rule: So long as there is a period at the end of the sentence, I don't care. Apostrophes aside, commas are the most misused mark ever and I'm not going to bother with them on the internet. I'd much rather meet new people and make friends and have laughs and post pictures of myself holding a mop.

23. Well this was a different guy

than the one making all the fuss. He started out giving me a lesson on proper usage and then went into commas.

Kind of an interesting sociology experiment if you think about it. That original guy successfully made me appear stupid just by re-enforcing his point, as if it was a given, that a single grammar error makes one illiterate. The next guy just picked up and ran from there.

That's how Rove and the sound machine do it. They pick up a point and re-enforce it, as if it's truth, even if the original point is flawed.

I don't care about comma's, well I didn't but I have a feeling I'll be hanging out here a lot less if I'm going to be forced to.
I WAS just having fun trying to get my mind off of the election for awhile. :shrug:

aside from his hijacking of it. Usually the lounge is a safe place to get away from the political stuff on DU. I'm scared to even look in GD sometimes.
