Your perfect cheeseburger |
|
Here's some fun to have, post your favorite cheeseburger.
Mine: A 1/4 lb beef (or venison, if I'm in the mood), three strips bacon, cheddar and swiss cheese (melted), stoneground mustard, light ketchup, a light spread of mayo, pickles on a sesame seed bun.
OR: The meat and bacon, with BBQ sauce (tangy and spicy) and hot peppers.
OR: Oliveburger. That's a fine cheeseburger there.

Bit too big for me, but meunster cheese is highly underrated.
So long as it's not American. Why did we name the worst cheese ever "American?"

7. Home-cooked cheeseburger, of course! |
|
1/4 lb. Angus beef (20% fat) seasoned with salt and pepper, cooked to medium (still warm pink on the inside) turned only Once and never press down on it! (Takes all the juices out). Add two thin slices of Cheddar cheese to melt on top while still in pan (cover briefly to insure proper melting). Take one lightly toasted Onion Pocket (roll) spread lightly with mayo, add burger, five slices of hamburger dill pickles, a ring or two of raw, red onion, a few dashes of ketchup (Heinz, of course!)
Yum! Goes great with a Barq's Root Beer, too! Fries optional.

With fries, a kosher dill, and a couple of slices of tomato on the side.

|
¥ÊRed onion, very very sharp cheddar, horseradish sauce over a beef burger spiked with Worchestire sauce (I know I spelled that wrong) ¥ÊHeirloom tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella, with a mild pesto (perhaps over something like a turkey or ostrich burger, a bit milder than beef) ¥ A homemade black bean/chick pea/mushroom/red pepper veggie burger, grilled and served simply with garlic mayo ¥ 1/2 beef, 1/2 veal mixture, topped with sauteed wild mushrooms and smoked bacon.

Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes. A big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer.
Okay. Actually I like 1/4 to 1/3 lb patty, cooked enough to be done all the way through but still juicy (I hate dry burgers). Swiss, pepper jack or Cheddar cheese, maybe some bacon, fried onions, and barbecue sauce. Yum!
I love the Jack Daniels burger at TGIFridays.

Okay - burger: I like to mix the ground beef with Lee & Perrin's, chopped up jalapeno peppers & red onion (if I have some on hand, I really like to use ramps instead of regular onions). Grill till a little crispy on outside & a little pink on the inside. Top with american & pepperjack cheeses, lettuce, onions & some spicy brown mustard. And if the world is perfect, serve with some homemade potato salad & Grandma Utz potato chips. Perfection.

A veggie burger, but not one of those damn rice/mushroom things. Something like the Grillers Prime with swiss cheese, sauteed mushrooms and mayo and A-1. God my mouth is watering! Oh yea, don't forget about an entire plate of pickles.

Fresh, tender grilled chicken breast. Big slice of cheddar cheese on that. Two pieces of bacon, not the kind of bacon you get at fast food, but real bacon you cook for breakfast. Lettuce. A ranch sauce. On a nice big fancy bun. On a plate absolutely covered in fries.
