Thursday morning thread about last night's "Lost"....(spoilers)
What did everyone think. I kind of wish more had happened and that they revealed more about what is going on at the island than they did. Especially since it may be a month before a new episode. But it was good nonetheless.

How does everyone think the thing with Charlie plays into the mythos of the island? Is he really dead and just rejuvinated by the island?

The thing with Jack was interesting and is the first back story that got some resolution in that we know why his dad left in the first place and about what his mom was laying a guilt trip on him about in the first flashback episode about him.

I also thought the Sayid/Sawyer semi reconciliation was interesting as well.

1. Love the show but
it really pisses me off that they're already showing reruns. It only started a couple of months ago. What's up with that?

2. Playing Catch-up
The first couple of shows didn't have as many viewers and I feel that later viewers (like me) need to see the shows we've missed to make heads or tails out of what's going on. I'm glad they're showing the first two over so I can finally understand the deal with the polar bear.

Well, maybe.

3. That's completely normal for any show....
If you've noticed a lot of series are doing their Christmas episodes this week. Most networks go into reruns between now and maybe the end of January. Nothing unusual about it, but for a show like this that is a long time to be without answers or episodes.

4. Could I love this show more?
I can't get enough of Lost! I feel like I've stumbled into this wonderful little novel every episode. I find the slow reveal of the characters as a compelling story-telling technique.

I do feel a little goofy about exhaling audibly when I saw Charlie in the tree. I was really upset about it. I think the cast is great - all of them. I can't wait to buy this on dvd - they better have great extras!

5. Last night's show had some interesting stuff in it.
I'm thinking Charlie isn't really Charlie anymore. I hope I'm wrong.

Don't know what's in store for Claire and her wee fetus.

Sayid and Sawyer makin up kinda sorta. Sayid guilt-trippin and Sawyer probably enjoyed the pain in a self-punishing kind of way. Everybody happy?

Do you think the kid's dice rolling "luck" is an effect of the island?

6. Kid and the dice
No - I don't think the luck is the effect of the island - remember he said that his dad always said he was lucky - his step dad I guessed from the way he spoke of him.
