What is the best news web site?
I mean for total news: breaking news, the world, the U.S., politics (including world politics), sports, local weather, etc.

The first news site I go to is www.washingtonpost.com, but it doesn't always have everything right up front. I loathe CNN. The Yahoo! and Netscape and similar pages kinda suck. My startup page at home, Earthlink, has news links, but the stories they post are usually unimportant to me, and I can't seem to customize it to my liking. The local news sites are too damned busy -- too freaking much crap on their pages.

What news site do you use?

3. BBC News, I agree - the best source
I admire those guys very much.

Another good one (American) is the mag Mother Jones.
These journalists jumped at the throats of the Bush-administration after the faux victory in 2000, and has been hanging tight ever since.

4. I hope I don't get accused of
brow-nosing, but the DU community is where I look, first thing in the morning, and frequently throughout the day. The discusion back and forth discussion on LBN, alerts me to what I have to Google in depth later on.

My exposure to MSM, is along the lines of second-hand smoke to a non-smoker.

(For weather, I have Weather Bug on my computer. It's always on).
