excuse me while I enjoy this
Cedric Benson will not be among the finalist for the Heisman trophy. Jason White, Adrian Peterson, Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush, and Alex Smith will be there. Benson will not. I hate the University of Texas. They didn't deserve the Rose Bowl bid but got it due to excessive whining by Mack Brown. They didn't deserve this and didn't get it. Yes, its tacky, but any bad news about the UT program always brings a smile to my face.

3. oh, I forgot.. part of what makes this funny
is that Benson said he would rather win the Heisman than beat Oklahoma, their biggest rival. Hmmm.. guess he struck out on both of those. :D

4. I hate UT as well
When my sister in law went to school there, she remembered attending a paleontology class that all the football players signed up for. She said it involved cutting and pasting pictures of dinosaur bones - like something children do in grade school. Amazing how much they are coddled. Going to a second/third tier school makes me bitter that UT (and A&M) get so much funding, and that so much of that goes into those programs.

And Mack Brown's voice makes me want to start smashing things. He reminds me of Tom DeLay for some reason. It's that whiny, Southern accent.

5. speaking of funding and the state university systems
Texas likes to think its state universities are superior to others. Well, UT and Texas A&M are great schools, but compare them to the University of California system. They don't come out looking so good then.

I too hate Mack Brown's gravely voice.

6. That's a great point.
Texas has two top tier schools; California has a lot more.;)
