Standing in the Shadows of Motown |
Amazing film-doc...Funk Brothers who played on so many of the Motown 60's great hits. I never really knew it was the same bunch of musicians who laid down the groove for so many artists. Joan Osbourne does a great job vocally...What Becomes of the Broken Hearted. Anyone else seen this tribute?

1. The Funk Brothers were one of the tightest bands in R & B at the time, |
especially James Jamerson, the bassist. Up until a few years ago, few people knew his name - but everybody knew those basslines.
