hockey fans, quick question.
When they show team records, there's four numbers.

I'd assume:

WIns:loses:ties:...

So what's the fourth number for?

1. OT losses

this is a new thing because you still get a point for an overtime loss unless you pull your goalie for an extra skater

2. Over-Time loss...
You get one point for making it to overtime.

3. I miss hockey so this question caught my eye
If I am not mistaken, it's for overtime wins.

WINS
LOSSES
OT WINS
TIES

Of course a tie occurs when both teams have not scored and the overtime has expired.

In the playoffs, that changes, and teams play multiple overtimes until one team scores a wining "sudden death" goal.

In a game 7 of course, "sudden death" takes on a whole new meaning!
