16. It is just fur. I use to say she was like a Clydesdale horse.

She will be about 18 pounds fully grown. Jack Russell Terriers are the bestest dogs (IMHO), so full of energy and so smart. She is my third.

I had Sonic, and now Frolic and Mimic. Frolic is 3, Mimic is now 8 months.

9. That sock is the cutest ever- I live for my darling Hudson

and every day dread that day when I know I'll have to say bye to him. Just thinking of it brings tears to my eyes. He's eight and I've been worrying about him dying since he was eight weeks.

He's my first dog. I wasn't allowed to have one when I was a kid, and I was an only child, am now a single grown-up so you can imagine how super-attached I am to him...and he is to me!

That when we get a pet, we're automatically putting ourselves in for tragedy 12-15 years down the line. But just think, you'll have had 12-15 years of unconditional love from your beloved pet. That's not a bad bargain, really.

Peanut and Pearl, that is. :-)

They told us at the shelter that Pearl was a chow/husky mix, so the purple tongue is expected. But they said Peanut was a hound/shepherd mix, so I'm not sure where she got HER purple tongue.

And with both of them, their tongues turned purple when they were about 6 months old.

OTOH, The Princess's tongue only gets that color after a grape popsicle. :-)

That damn dog can't keep his tongue in his mouth....it's creepy. At least my two dogs can keep their tongues in their mouth and actually look intelligent.

24. Did you get her before or after Sonic died, Minimus?

We plan to get another dog after losing our beloved Brownie this past week, but not for a while.

In the meantime we have 3 adorable cats-- the kitten especially is providing solace.

27. I got her before. About 8 months ago I got her to play with my

3 year old, Frolic, because Sonic started getting ill and was not interested in playing. Frolic did not understand and since JRTs are really active she needed another playmate.

It does help having Mimic and Frolic to come home to, but Sonic was my special little boy and I feel like there is a huge hole in my heart.:cry:
