You have 2714 spam messages:
Now I know why I switched to Google Mail. My yahoo mail account only gets spam. In the course of a week, I've recieved 2714 spam messages. Anyone else getting this, despite "spam blocking"?

1. Is that e-mail address listed as a tech or admin contact for a domain?
They harvest addresses from the WHOIS database, so those will always get spammed heavily.

Also if you publish the address on a website.

5. Unfortunately they make a GREAT living.
When I changed my domain registration contact to be my Yahoo account, literally within hours I started getting spam on it. They are fast & efficient at harvesting that WHOIS database - AND you have to pay extra to be "unlisted!" Fuckers.

2. Yes
Some of it new but most of it has been repetition using the same name/title each time. Click it on spam and still weeks later I am still getting it and more!

6. Yahoo always dumps the "spam" in the bulk mail and I just
go and delete it.
One reason I have stuff that lands in my bulk folder is because I got roped into that disgusting free movie ticket pyramid scheme that was going around. If you got enough people to sign up you would get free movie tickets. There were things you could get discount coupons from etc & because of that, I get the bulk mail.

Very little gets into the active mailbox that I did not want to be there in the first place. Even mail from people that I know sometimes gets put in the bulk folder just because of its size.

check the preferences you set up in your Yahoo page, just to be sure.
