I can't wait until Monday!!! |
|
I'm going to see the neurologist! It'll be great to find out what's going on, especially - and thanks to a co-worker - now proving to the counselor that I'm not making up any of the symptoms I'm having. (which reminds me, in the future I will only write things down and have them read it because, especially if I start talking about it, I'll wander from tangent to tangent like there's no tomorrow.)
I don't think it's MS, but I owuldn't be surprised if it's ALS or Parkinson's or something else equally delightful.

Bless you. At least you will know what is going on. And we'll be here to support you - and pray for you.

4. Thanks! And to all who responded to my post on Wednesday. |
|
It's been a rough few days. I still can't remember how I ended up on the floor that day... or how I had gotten back to my cube... I recall the panic attack. I know Klonopin can be potent, but I'd taken it a few years ago (and on a regular basis) and didn't react like I had. And my dosage was not very high. My co-worker friend once needed 3 tablets for a panic attack. I'd taken 2 (of the same mg dosage).
and as I recall the neurological symptoms, I'm just writing them down. I mustn't take a chance and then forget anything.

5. I'm new here so I don't know what your symptoms are or were |
|
But I was diagnosed with MS almost 10 years ago after my eyes went all wacky. Luckily I haven't had anything serious since. Good luck

7. To make a long story short (thanks for asking...) |
|
I don't recall posting the entire list:
* Balance problems, I can topple over easily if not careful * Fine tremor (in both arms, but could be worse on left side - hard to tell) * Occasional spasms on left side of the body (generally when fatigued and definitely exacerbated by anxiety) * Apparently some weakness in left arm (diagnosed Wednesday but I don't recall a thing that day so maybe I dreamt it all up? ) * Short term memory problems (especially since Wed., but then I haven't done much since, apart from mom's phone call and talking with an acquaintance, little of which I've remembered.) * numbness and tingling in extremities (fingers and left foot seem prone - neck tingling caused by misaligned vertabrae, but nobody's perfect...) * Foot sometimes drops when walking, putting me in danger of tripping (left, even I think there's a pattern by now) * Some weakness in lifting objects; they seem heavier now but didn't several months ago. Or maybe I'm imagining that. * Cognitive slowness (moreso than usual) * Dazed trances, not concentrating (with no emotional subtext such as anxiety). Wednesay AM, when driving to work, I nearly got myself into an accident that likely would have killed me because I wasn't concentrating. I didn't even notice the car approaching me and I'm damn lucky there wasn't a car approaching from the opposite side...)

8. Sounds like it could be fibromyalgia... |
|
any overall aches and pains?
The good thing about FMS is, is that it isn't MS or the like that dead ends you. It just sucks, but doesn't necessarily kill you.
Good luck and will be hoping for the best for you.

10. Sadly, it's not overall aches and pains. |
|
I wish it was, I suppose.
Thanks for the best wishes though! Whatever it is, I hope they'll find a solution.
