jefferson airplane loves you
im listening to disc 2 from that boxed set right now. my sister - who passed away 2 yrs ago - gave me this for Christmas when the set was released in 1992.

right now "things are better in the east". cant wait to get to live version of "uncle sam blues" and alternate version of "wooden ships".

i had this disc all ready on november 2nd to play volunteers. instead i couldnt listen to any of it. even uncle sam blues, though i considered it

i cant pick a favorite because so many rock, but disc 1 has "comin back to me" and wont you try/saturday afternoon"
still after these many years i still cant get my head around the music and ideals that shot out of this era

1. I do like the original Airplane
I think my favorite album was After Bathing at Baxter's. ReJoyce had some very deep thoughts in it.

I'd rather have my country die for me-ReJoyce

10. So you're a dudette...
You know I can communicate better with women than with men...
I don't know why...Maybe because I was raised with two sisters and my mom...My dad was there but at the same time he wasn't.

12. thats a great quality i have to say.
guys who have a healthy side of sensitivity are great. when someone reads my post about jefferson airplane and says theyre sorry about my sister, then thats really sweet.

so many women have had rough times with men and relationships, i can imagine you have lots of female friends. and im sure if nothing else, your sisters love fixing you up!

sorry about your dad.

our biological father was basically out of the picture too so i know that scene. im glad you have sisters - that helps a lot. im the youngest of 4 and i have incredible memories of growing up with them, and my mom also.

9.  Eat Starch Mom

(Grace Slick, Jorma Kaukonen)
He's just an American boy
And he loves his machine
No back-talk from a machine
When was the last time a television set
Gave you shit about who you met last night?
No back-talk machine
If your motor doesn't turn over smooth for you
You don't feed it right
Give it a little grease
Give it a little gas
Drive straight on through the night
Man-made mechanical mover
Love your machine
You say nothing's right but natural things
Ah, you fool
Poison oak is a natural plant
Why don't you put some in your food
Natural food
I don't care if there's chemicals in it
Is long as my lettuce is crisp
Preservatives might just be preserving you
I think that's something you missed
Ya you missed it
Man-made mechanical mover
I love his machine
He's just an American boy
And I love his machine
Smooth moving steel
Keep your engine warm and wet
Be friendly to your steel
Feed it right, your mechanical pet
Then get behind the wheel
Put a little statch in the old Corvette
Then give it a feel
Smooth moving steel, give it a feel
Man-made mechanical mover
It'll move faster than you can
Vegetable lover

17. hmmmm, not sure
I thought they were using Jefferson Airplane at the time. I could be wrong, I never saw them. I don't know the band very well even from their early days, so I didn't pay any real attention beyond Grace Slick.

We did it well and I never got tired of it.
