I'm in the middle of composing a letter which will either get me arrested
or at least on a watch list.

I am writing to the media because I am so frustrated with their lack of TRUE reporting. I only watch CNN when I am in a sense forced to. Hubby still listens to it and when he has it on I can't help but see it. One cable tv in the apartment which is only about 3 rooms. So when I saw a CNN segment basically calling for Mr. Annan to step down as UN head.

I wrote in part. (It is in rough draft form and I need to get all the info together.)

...if anything the United States and in particular Haliburton are more in the wrong than Mr. Annan could ever be. Yet because this administration has given you sheep this idea you contour to run with this ridiculous idea.

You also had the nerve to become upset with the fact that a newspaper journalist would have or in your words "put a soldier up too" asking a question that should have been asked each TV station and kept as front page news until this Administration did something about it. You would not have hesitated if it had been the Clinton Administration. Yet you crucify this newspaper reporter for having the backbone you people lost and in reality who are the ones to really suffer-you? The Administration? Those soldiers who have basically lost their voice because you are not doing the job your forefathers of journalism would have done without batting one eye lash.

Should I mention and go into detail about the voter fraud which would bring the letter up to about 5 pages?

1. I would love to read it.
But unfortunately not even the interns at CNN have the time or patience to read a five page letter from a viewer.

Edit, my friend. Short, cold, cutting, and to the point. Search for the brevity in your message and find the vocabulary with which to do the most damage.

Remember, no swearing!

These are the keys to writing to the media.
