... when it comes to pledge drives. The local station has been having one for the last few weeks and I am getting tired of being propositioned with gift bags for donations.
I'm just waiting for one of the pledge drive hosts to be like, "Hey baby, c'mon... We give you all this programming, and we're needing a fix of donations baby... C'mon... Ill suck yo' dick!"

1. We call them Beg-a-Thons around here. |
|
And PBS used to not do them as often, but they do them more and more often lately. About once a month now, whereas they used to be kinda rare.
It pisses us off. We gave for years, but damn if there are going to be more Beg-A-Thons instead of shows, forget it.
Plus I just read that our local PBS affiliate mishandled a lot of funds and overpaid a lot of top people while laying off some lower level people. Very nice. So we stopped our donations.
