So, how do you motivate yourself?
Just can't get myself to clean house or do yard work. I'd rather be on DU or other places on the internet. How do you break away and motivate yourself to move it?

4. DU IS the motivation
The world revolves but we need to get involved in making our piece of the world a better place then it is right now. I figure an hour or so of "wasting" my time doing the dull chores can then be followed up by a "reward" of reading DU for further motivation.

7. Dogs barking in the house
make me want to get out....get away, anything. Of course, taking them out to play in the yard does the trick, too... :-):-)

8. I've never been this way before
When I wake up in the morning I try visualize myself deep cleaning my house and doing yard work. That is far as it goes. When I tell my family about this - they laugh and say you deserve to do what you want now that you are retired. So maybe I just need to get over the guilt.
