"Don we now our gay apparel"
Edited on Sat Dec-11-04 06:14 PM by Skittles
I'm not sure I have any "gay apparel" - perhaps Arwalden could lend me a feather boa?

Fa la la, la la la, la la la. :D

corrected to read WE instead of ME!!!

At the risk of starting another International Male Catalog laugh-fest, I will submit this for exhibit A. Though I can't imagine of my gay friends wearing something like this.

for wealthy Yanks to spend a year between HS and college there getting, um, cultured, I guess. Not to mention the occasional character-building beating.

I'll never forget a housemate named Jonathan Yates: He took the train to Saville Row and had a variety of Sherlock Holmes-esque suits made, compete with capes and those silly caps with the ear flaps tied to the sides.

(Edited to make sense)

13. All kidding aside...
I have heard of some people changing the words to "don we now our fine apparel" because they don't "approve" of homosexuality, even though at the time those lyrics were written, gay meant nothing more than festive and happy.

25. Tonight, in the car,
I was singing "Winter Wonderland" for my family and I edited it in honor of my gay and lesbian friends:

In the meadow we can build a snowman,
then pretend that he is Parson Brown...
He'll say are you married, we'll say no, it's against the law, man
but you can do the job when you bring America into the 21st century.

It kinda jacked with the rhythm a bit, but my family loved it.
