Computer and software gurus: A question
What is a good voice program for writing on a computer that doesn't cost ten thousand dollars? Thanks. :+

1. if you want the guru
try narrowing your request. they all cost less than $10k, and while i realize that this isn't literal, neither have you given meaningful parameters.

having said that, I've yet to see voice recognition/transcription software that worked. Granted that's not my specialty, but by the same token i have done programming for the govt. YMMV.

3. Dragon Naturaly Speaking is great software.
It may cost a bit more than 10 bucks.

But 10k it is not.

Seriously I can achieve in the high 90 percentile range, though I have been using it for years and my voice files are at least 5 years old.

It is all a manner of training, and with Dragon you can hit a darn high % about 10 minutes out of the box.

Via Voice from IBM is liked by some...but I personally would recommend..

Dragon Naturally Speaking.

I use it every day, with a headset, once you go thru the training program it works surprisingly well...PC mag thinks its best too.
