I am sick and tired of being sick and tired
I've had this damn cold or flu or bronchitis or pneumonia or whatever it is for over two weeks now. Hubby is sick too - he went to the doc on Friday and got diagnosed with bronchitis and is now huddled on the sofa coughing and gagging and feeling sorry for himself.

I'm not coughing but I can't take a deep breath - it hurts like hell and I'm exhausted just walking to the kitchen and back. But he seems to think that because I'm not whining and I'm not coughing, I feel fine and when I mention that I feel like crap, too, I get a look like, "yeah, right, you just want some sympathy".

Maybe I'm not being fair and maybe he's not feeling like that but it seems like it and I'm not in the frigging mood.

1. I was told that guys are very single minded
When they're sick or in pain - they focus in on it. How can you be sick if ou're not obsessing about it. They just don't get it.

2. Yeah, well, if I obsessed about it nothing would get done
I'm out of bread (I bake my own) so I'm baking today which is a real ball - knead three times then stop to catch my (nonexistent) breath. Someone has to go to the store and I know who it WON'T be. He makes a drink, uses the last of the ice cubes (which no one but he uses) and leaves the ice cube trays piled strategically in my way so I'll either make more or have to move them elsewhere.

You know, he's usually very thoughtful and takes care of his own stuff but when he's sick, it's like having small children again. And I don't want small children. :grr:

3. My husband is the same way.
When he is ill, it's like he invented whatever the problem might be and no one could possibly have the same miserable experience.
