HAPPY ANNIVERSARY: One year ago today I was adopted by my cat Abbott

It was one year ago today I was coming home from work on a Cold, Windy & Rainy night. There was this Grey & White Tabby rooting through the garbage looking horribly miserable. I noticed that he had a flea collar around his next so after I made contact with him I ran inside and grabbed a few slices of cheese. He immediately came after the cheese and I brought the poor soaked, flea bitten cat with the callused paws into my life. Yes, one year ago today I was adopted by this adorable Grey & White Cat (he looks like he forgot to put white stockings on his one front paw). One year later he has the softest coat of fur, he's clean of fleas & mites and I had the poor guy fixed and all taken care of by the vet. Right now he is laying on his back right by my computer chair in hopes I'll turn around and rub his belly.

I can't believe I ever lived a day without Abbott in my life. He is the best cat in the world (With my cat Evita coming in a very close 2nd)

5. Abbott looks a great deal like my Claudia.

But Claudia has green eyes.

My very elderly neighbors found Claudia in a closed box in their front yard about eight years ago. The box had a jar of food and a blanket.

They were upset because they felt that they were too old to take on a new pet. And they were horrified that someone would abandon an animal that way.

We took her. She became my husband's cat immediately. She may have been abandoned because she bites HARD if you pet her the wrong way. No one is allowed to touch her tummy. She is snarky, too, if you try to play with her when she wants to be left alone. But that is what cats do.
