Techie Question!! RE: Recording Online Radio Shows |
|
Can a person with a regular type computer (Compaq Presario) that has a CD burner, can that person (me) record the audio from webcasted radio shows?
I'm kind of staring at the cover of this manual and thought maybe some smart person could give me advice about this and save me a bit of Manual Frustration. Thanks!

CD burning depends on how your computer is set up. But recording shows is straightforward. you can use a recording program to capture any sound through your computer.
Windows can record .wav files but they are huge.
You can find freeware Mp3 recording programs online (Messer, Audacity, among others) , or you can buy one relatively cheap online. (Total Recorder, Replay Radio, among others.)
A really easy way, if you hava cassette recorder or protable CD capable of recording, is to plug it into your computers sound output jack, and record it through that.

2. You need an "audio stream recorder" |
|
I use River Past Audio Capture; it's $20 and does an excellent job. But there are others that work well, too, and some of them are free.
Check around with Google.
