I love garage sales!
Just bought a perfectly good camper shell for 25 bucks. Sure it was laying out in a pasture & needs deep cleaning & TLC, but it sure beats paying $1100 for a new one!

1. I love great finds too!
A few years ago, I found a gorgeous Magnavox console stereo, vintage 1964, in beautiful, pristine condition. It works perfectly, the cabinent is lovely, and I paid $25 for it.

2. I'm a garage sale fanatic too.
I see a sign up, I'll go blocks out of my way to go.

3. You never know when you might come across a treasure.
Even if you go to 50 garage sales and come up empty, finding something great at the 51st makes it worth it.

4. I don't know where you are, Archae, but...
Madison's west side is yard sale heaven. Not bad for curb shopping, either. I can't count how much great stuff, lightly used, that we've gotten.

5. Then have I ever showed you my uber cool
vintage record player...I was showing it off a few nights ago.

Bought it at a flea market last summer for fifteen bucks...

6. That's right up my alley! I collect vintage stereos and radios.
I have the aforementioned 1964 Magnavox console stereo, a mid-60s console record player, a couple of 1940s tabletop radios, a 1938 Coronado floor model radio, a cute pink RCA kitchen radio, and a few others.

I also collect vintage board games and have a 1964 glass-front display case for them. It's got those 1960s tapered legs also, just like your pictured record player.

8. Hey you!
Don't let that wood stove ruin your fun!

7. If it were not for garage sales...
my house would be very empty!
I have been going to them for 30 years.
My best find ever was an original woodstock movie poster for 15 cents.
