But geography has always been my strong point. Mr. Andrews (geometry teacher) would be happy that I even remember what a right triangle is. It was never my subject. Cool, I try not to step on any toes when I can help it.

I was born in 33155 but grew up in 33133. My parents' house was next to the canal at 64th Ave. & 38th St!
My childhood was in Coconut Grove, down Bird Rd. past 27th Ave.
So, back to "ask you anything:" what are the good restaurants in the Gables these days? I was in Miami in July but since my folks are in Kendall now, we mostly stayed around there & didn't get up to the Gables much.

My zip is 33155 and I had friends who lived in that same area as your parents. And I hang out in the laughing loggerhead bar, which is right there on Bird and 27th ave. in the Grove. I just moved back to Miami after 10 years of living away so I really can't tell you what restaurants are good. But I do know they have a lot of good ones with new ones constantly opening up. Next time you're down here, log on too www.miaminewtimes.com for restaurant info.

I hated the dry heat. I was like a fish out of water in the desert while everybody over there raves about the dry heat, telling me how it must of sucked growing up in miami because of the humidity. In Phoenix, during the summer, it's like living in an oven. There's no breeze. At least in Miami, you always have a nice seabreeze. I liked californian weather though.

My first mutt was Rocky, which we got from the pound. My second mutt was Dusty, which we got from the pound. My third mutt was Raider, which I adopted as a puppy, born to a female dog that belonged to a homeless man on the beach.
