Nice, huh?

Not a real loss, mind you, but it's the ideal here that they'd send the notice BEFORE it closes?

1. You were soooo snipered...
There's alas no way ebay can keep up with snipers.

Sorry, my partner does it all the time-- those who have DSL will unfortunately rule ebay...

He uses his power for good, though. :)

3. I have DSL... but I really didn't want the item. It was a nice suede vest
but I've got plenty as it is. I just like getting them cheap because they can't be had new anymore and when suede gets shiny from wear, it can't be fixed.

I'm definitely cool without it though. But it obviously was a last second sniper.

(I didn't really want it because I placed a bid of 5 cents over base price.)

It's funny though. My counselor thinks I'm schizo-typal because I dress in an 'eccentric' manner (70s vests, so what? I'm an individual, not a damn lemming) yet these outdated vests still get bid on quite often. Maybe my counselor (who has worn '60s go-go boots for pity's sake, nice as they are though!) is the nutter.

6. I got up one morning and realized that everything in my closet came from
the Gap. Pitiful. So I started buying vintage and handmade clothing on ebay. A harmless and relatively inexpensive habit. Hard getting the fit right sometimes. I am female, but I have shoulders like a freakin' linebacker.

2. Be the sniper, not the snipee.

4. Something wrong with eBay
I put something in my "items being watched" column last night and then this morning not only was the item not on "My eBay" but the auction had ended. That kinda pissed me off because it was something that was kinda rare. Guess I should have bid on it last night. Hopefully it wasn't won by anyone and the seller will put it up for auction again.

5. The seller may have ended the auction early.
Hate when they do that.

7. This happens to me ALL the time.
Sometimes I get the outbid notice the day AFTER the auction closed.

8. They do that to me all of the time!
I also hate when I bid on what seems like a sure win and the seller bids under different user ids to push the price up.
