I'm doing my bags for travel. Going to Cuiabá tomorrow morning. My 3yo saw me do that and has just connected the dots. Daddy is going away. I tells ya, her cry could have made Adolph Hitler reconsider invading Poland. It's not loud or anything. It's... sad.

And she cried herself to sleep. Tomorrow I'll be gone before she wakes up. But when I phone home she gets happy. And the treats are de rigueur, of course.

My daughter and I are leaving for California on wednesday. When rosebud notices her Dad staying here and we are going? Its the same cry......I cry on the plane with her. It is sad, but I know we are coming back. But at times I guess Daddy has to leave/stay as does Mommy. :(
