Best song for dancing?
I don't dance (lack rhythm and coordination) but if I did I could see myself dancing to 'Amour et printemps' by E. Waldteufel or, very surprisingly, 'Let's dance' (surprise!)

This thread is officially the dance party capital of the internet!

2. My Sharona
The Knacks. I still dance when I hear that song. I know its a strange thing to some people, but hey! It brings back memories of childhood. :)

5. Oddly...
...I'm listening to Pink Floyd's "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast" and Rummy is keeping perfect time to it. Weird.

Anyway, for a soulful hippie dance, it would be Dark Star.

I like "Hand Jive" and its various permutations, also.

16. Right you are. And if you can REALLY dance, then a bit slower swing (like
a foxtrot) is perfect. That's serious dancing, IMO.

12. I drove cross country
with a friend of mine and we listened to Dee-Lite the whole time. The WHOLE time. If I hear "Groove Is In The Heart" one more time. I am going to take the stereo out of my car. :)

13. That's too bad - it's a great song!
I actually had about a 6 month period when, for exercise, I would turn off all the lights, crank some funky dance tunes, drink a glass of wine and dance like a cage dancer in my apartment. Alone, of course - Dee-Lite's World Clique was in regular rotation then ;)

14. Yes, it is a great song
I will agree with that. I just needed a break from the grooving in my little prelude and my speakers thumping to the song until we reached CT. We listened to that song almost the whole entire way. After driving for 40 hours? Man, I was ready for Neil Diamond! LOL! But it is good for at least the first 15 hours. Dance like a cage dancer for me please? We don't have the space. :) And if you feel inclined to do so, drink a glass of white zin for me as well! Have a great night.

11. "Respect"
I also like "Rock the Casbah."

For slow numbers, I still like "Cherish" or even "Hey, Jude." Yeah, I'm still stuck in 1970. :-)
