They cause a LOT of fires... The gel wax when melted becomes more flammable than regular wax and the whole surface of the candle will ignite and it is very hard to extinguish.

and without residue like the gel candles. It is a soft wax that also has to be kept in a container like the gel.
The soy wax candles I have had take scent very well too. Never had one go up like the gel candles sometimes do. Have thought about purchasing the soy wax, wicking and scent oil to make my own.
