Where did the word "Jebus" originate?
The Urban Dictionary says it originated with the episode of the Simpsons where Homer becomes a missionary. I think it originated elsewhere. I heard that there was a misprint in a bible or something.

1. I tend to believe that The Simpsons theory is correct
But I don't think it would be hard to prove the other.

3. "Family Guy"
"hey on page 375 it says the word jebus.....it's supposed to be jesus right?"

I beleive this episode aired before the Simpsons episode in question.

4. The episode is "Missionary Impossobile"
It aired in season 11, in 2000. Im not that familiar with Family guy, but I know it started in 1999. The simpsons episodes usually air about 2 years after they are initially written. But Family Guy should also have a similar time between airings. So, Im not really sure.

6. I really doubt that..
.. I mean, one of the upcoming episodes will feature a Superbowl half-time show done by Homer & Ned Flander which is critisized for being such a "blatant display of decency."

Or has it really been 2 years since Nipplegate?

7. They can add in or take out small parts of the episode, but the general
episode is begun 2 years in advance. That is why they are already working on season 18 now.

5. that simpsons episode in question aired
February 20, 2000 http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/GuidePageServlet/showid-146/epid-1526/ and that Family Guy episode aired September 30, 1999 http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/GuidePageServlet/showid-348/epid-17642/ but I would say it was the Simpsons who made it popular
