YORK, England -- Instead of visiting Santa, people who hate Christmas can visit Satan in the English city of York.

A sneering devil asks visitors to Dungeon Grotto, "Are you going to get everything you want this Christmas?" -- before breaking into an evil laugh.

The grotto features a beheaded Santa Claus alongside an impaled elf. Visitors can sign their souls away on a scroll. Children who visit are given pretend eyeballs or severed fingers.

A local minister is appalled.

"The message of Christmas is about God's love, his forgiveness, his life that he offers people. This is all about death, darkness, evil, " the Rev. Roger Simpson said. "Unfortunately, people can be drawn into that."
