Speaking of counting calories......here at verizon wireless calling center gave us a walk- meter. they gave it to eveyone...everyone is saying man are they saying we are fat....OK i will use it...we are sitting our assess for 8 hours...sometimes 12..They gave it to us for a wonderful 2004....gee wonder what we would get in 2005!!

BTW...I have Verizon, and I need the "Can You Hear Me Now?" guy to pay me a visit...I drop calls all of the time!

I think they're trying to compensate for the health effects of sedentary jobs. I haven't seen anything out here in Maryland, but will keep my ears open. Corporations have specialists in industrial health that do things like this.

Sometimes people in staff jobs are clueless about how to present things. But it's probably not a bad idea. Those calling center jobs are a nasty mix of stress and inactivity.
