1. Any movie that shows Jesus as a white anglo-saxon male is inaccurate |
|
Jesus would have had an olive complexion and semitic features.

who was mainly crucified for going against Mosaic law, which the Pharisees did not like. I don't believe "The Last temptation of Christ" was acurate, but I respect the opinion of those who do think that it was.

to the notion that Jesus was a man with human desires that may have included a sensuous prostitute like Mary Magdalene.
If we were indeed created in the image of God, why would that mean only on the outside?
I thought that aspect of the portrayal was very beautiful and compelling.

6. Although not accurate perhaps, |

Jesus Christ Superstar was an interesting, rather artsy, minimalist movie.
After not having seen it for many years, I caught it on HDNet. It was rather good in retrospect.

10. Those of you who feel Gibson's film was more accurate - WHY? |
|
From my understanding, it doesn't depict Jesus at all, but rather spends the entire time focusing on the ordeal leading up to the crucifixion, ignoring all of his lifetime and teachings.
How does one get an accurate depiction of the man from that?
I'm asking in all seriousness.
