I'm so tired of all the copycats. It's so cliquey around here; it seems like you have to know someone to get any replies to your posts. People who reply to newbies are just looking for attention. I hate having to type my replies to posts; I wish that I could just think of them and then the computer would type them for me.

on edit: before I get massively flamed, all of the above is sarcasm and meant to be taken as a parody on some of the more interesting events that have occurred in the lounge today. that is all...

7. The Lounge is the only place on DU I feel safe.

Every time I post something in the GD especially I get attacked personally, and since I am touchy and competitive I hit back, and before ya know it they're pulling shit I've said in the lounge out to throw in my face calling me immature, etc... Like, making a funny thread in the lounge discredits me from ever disagreeing with someone politically? Okay, sure. :eyes: And because I'm 18 and disagreeing with you, my age is suddenly a factor. :eyes: I'm sure if I was fucking going along with the bandwagon, you'd be cheering me on as a great example of democratic youth.

And I hate when people you've argued with in the past can't let it go. They follow you around, always posting in threads you start, always trying to start shit. Or starting their own threads that indirectly attack you and they know you're going to wind up there. Grr, subtlety is murder, especially because you can't report it to the mods since it's usually something between you and the other person that the mods won't understand.

Oh, and Deaniacs and Clarkies scare me. It's like a cult. One that I'll never understand.

Sorry I haven't checked in earlier, but here goes:

My neck hurts, nobody except Catwoman understands me, I had to go to a funeral today which is always a bummer, someone called me out on a Lounge thread and didn't let me know, I had to take time off work for the funeral today and now I can't take half a day tomorrow to pick up my reserved copy of the extended version of Return of the King and watch it, the Linfield championship game starts at eight fucking a.m. Saturday (I'm accustomed to recognizing just one 8 o'clock on Saturdays), I have a lunatic for a boss, Catwoman doesn't understand me.

I think that's it for right this second. Happy now, everyone?
