16. Rumors have been circulating about Randy Travis for YEARS.
I remember when he got married and folks were insisting his wife was just a beard. She also happens to be his manager.

I have no idea if there is substance to any of the rumors, but then, I don't particularly care either.

3. I think Cline trumps Wynette, but only because she's dead.
Being dead tilts the balance...nothing's more depressing than being dead.

9. She sure is, John...
And that's why they are tied.
Loretta Lynn is the Grand Queen of Country Music, but she would never let anyone break her heart. She's one tough lady.

11. Patsy Cline.
Her songs are just heartbreaking to listen to. Plus, the fact that she died tragically early lends even more heartbreak to her and her music.

13. Patsy Cline, no contest.
Tammy was great, but no one could do what Patsy did.

18. Both Patsy and Tammy had great producers.
Two of the best in country history. Patsy had Owen Bradley at Decca, and Tammy had Billy Sherrill at Epic. Added immeasurably to their sounds.
