Longgrain's going to air out his dirty laundry--give him some advise.
Longgrain has a favorite shirt.

It used to be white.

But it seems I've gotten some mud on it.

Some place overnight.

I don't know how to clean it, so I'm asking for advise.

I'm a single man, so a lady's touch would be nice.

3. Well, I'm a man, but I'd say try bleaching it.
But, I doubt it will ever be white again.

4. Is that the shirt in question?
Um....can you get a new favorite white shirt? ;)

How old is the mud? If it's fresh, rinse as much of it off in COLD water as possible (use cold, because hot water can set the stain). After that, you might try soaking in Oxyclean or treating with a paste of Oxyclean and water or detergent and water.

When you've gotten as much rinse/soaked off as possible, wash the shirt with a bleach safe for the fabric (use regular chlorine bleach if possible, because that has the greatest chance of restoring whiteness).

13. Damn. I can tell you how I get antique linens snowy white.
After you get the majority of the mud off in some conventional way you can soak the shirt in Biz and water in a bucket for awhile. If it is summer and warm enough I dip the clean linens in lemon water and lay them on the grass. The chlorophyll in the grass reacts and makes the linens snowy white. People used to send their linens to Brussels for this process many many years ago. I have been able to release some of the most despicable stains in the world in this manner. Or just do the biz biz and let it go at that!
