Words you *ALWAYS* spell wrong
Mine are privilege and miniature...both of which look wrong to me even if Jesus himself told me they were right.

You know, like "desert" vs "dessert" (two S's in Dessert, because you always want two helpings)

62. My desert/dessert
cue is that a Desert is Sandy (one s) while Strawberry Shortcake (2) is a type of dessert!

I don't use too many brain cues, but that one I always seem to think through.

Words that I always misspell? Lots, I'm sure. But, for some reason, I have a hell of a time pronouncing these words, even though they aren't too difficult:

Particularly, Apostalic, and Trastavere.

I must rise to her defense, and state categorically that she is a fine woman, and should in no way be held liable for the way I turned out.

She done the best she could wit' the material she had to work from, ya know?

32. That's because the "i" before "e" rule is useless...
Beige, codeine, caffeine, foreign, seismic, sovereign, society, science, and so on don't follow it. But then it's a rule based on pronunciation (words with long-E vowel sound spelt "ie", except after c), and British prnunciation at that, so it's essentially useless for speakers of American English.

64. sentense...sentence...defense...defence...definate...definite
what I really hate is words that are mispelled but are actually real words, so the spell checker doesn't catch them.

example:

I am write.

I knew a kid who actually spelled it wright. (I just had to wright you and say hi) haha

Which reminds me of simple word butchery, like Shrub does.
My mom has a way with words. Her parents were from Oklahoma and many words were just crucified.

-library becomes lie-barry
-ambulance becomes amblience
-wash becomes warsh, all things that start with wash too, like -Washington becomes Warshington. I just don't know where that rrrr comes from.
-garnish becomes garrinchee
-wolves becomes wooooves, singular wolf becomes woof

58. No prob, now on to our mutual question!
I did a Google on it (and hurt my fingers typing it) to find out what it meant. Here's what I found at http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mantidis.html

Form the Oxford English Dictionary

antidisestablishmentarianism
“Properly, opposition to the disestablishment of the Church of England, but popularly cited as an example of a long word.”

(Definition of redundant: See Redundant)

The link above also lists the longest word, and I'll admit I'm probably not going to use it in a sentence any time soon. :)
