that's the one. When I was a little kid my mom would always say, "What do you want, a Wilkie Button? " And, I never understood that until recently. Infact, I was talking to her on the phone the other day & asked her what that saying meant. Her explanation was that Wilkie was kind of a braggart, and always telling people how great he was, and that he would win the election. Well, that's what she said, haven't researched it yet though. Ha, ha.

it's really changing fast down here. I'm just really tired of the Americans, they are either really wealthy, or on the lam...doesn't seem to be a real middle ground. If you're down this way, stop by and see us. Whereabouts were you?

Well, right now I'm just feeling kind of low and let down by Kerry, the Electoral College is over with, the whole Black Box thing fizzled out, I look all around me and see alot of pretty fucked up people (not on DU) and I feel like I need to go into an old Church and just sit there for a couple hours and get grounded. I'm feeling pretty vulnerable right now, and I need to go do the dishes.

There are at least 2 major flame wars going on over Bev Harris now. The whole DU scene is a few guys posting humor in the lounge and a bunch of hate and animosity everywhere else.
I guess its time to do the dishes, take out the garbage, sweep and mop the floor, and rake the leaves. The lights are out, the party's over.
I'm just glad that the world got a chance to try. That's more than we got in 2000...
BTW, Congatulations on 1000. At least something got accomplished.

we need some timeout. But, we pull up our bootstraps and move on, right? At least we've got backbone, the freepers are such spineless whimps, with no hearts. One of my pals said to me, "Well, you know, we voted for the right guy, we did our best, we did the right thing." I believe that, and I think we're pretty beat up right now, but I'd rather have a clean heart and die knowing it, then to be a mud sucker and a sellout any old day. It's a spirit thing, and it's important, I don't know how, but it is. We are more elevated than they will ever be, and that has to count for something . I guess it will be revealed to us somewhere down the line.

I was a latebloomer here, not a veteran. Man, I always felt like kind of an outsider when I would see the number of posts other people had. 1,000 is kind of liberating, it's like coming in from out in the wilderness, or being able to just sit in a comfortable chair and feel really relaxed. It's like a safe feeling, when you know you are home. It's bitchen, anyway, that's how it felt for me.:hi:
