7. I've had friends try to push Modest Mouse on me for years...

But this is the first time I actaully like them without having to be coerced. Objectively, their rhythm section has tightened up and the songwriter's sense of structure doesn't wander like it used to, and vocally, they've gotten immeasurably better.

I think the demands of the marketplace, ironically enough, have improved their obverall sound and approach.

i do think that with all that extra label money they can use MUCH better equipment, so in the technical sense i think their albums have gotten better...the production on moon and antarctica was insane...

i think most long time fans will probably share the same opinion as me...but nonetheless, glad that you like them now! they deserve every fan they get.
