Why didn't the Kingsmen, The McCoys and The Troggs all sue each other? |

1. Well, for one thing, the Kingsmen totally ripped off the Wailers |
|
And they readily admitted it. :D

2. Covering songs does not constitute ripping anyone off. |

4. They readily admitted that they copied their act after the Wailers |
|
They were huge fans of theirs.

If you are a fan of garage rock/punk, check out the "Boss Hoss Rock N Roll Revival Hour" on my station; if you are a fan, you might recognize the host from one of the best retro-garage bands of the 80's...

Louie, Louie, Hang On Sloopy and Wild Thing all had the same I, IV, V, IV chord pattern?

9. Chuck would have sued then..lol |

On the Mccoys first album they did a version of "Fever" that sounds pretty close to "Hang on sloopy".

11. I guess that's the point then..... |
|
I-IV-V-IV being the 'classic' rocknroll pattern, CB could have sued just about everyone if he had wanted.
Of course, Chuck always wanted his money up front, in cash anyway.
