Neighbors Tape Man To Utility Pole After He Robbed House

GEORGETOWN, Guyana -- Call it a sticky case of street justice.

A would-be thief in Georgetown, Guyana, was duct taped to a utility pole. Police said neighbors used the same duct tape on the bandit that he intended to use to bind a family and rob them.

A teenage girl screamed when two men entered her home. She and her grandma were wrestling with the guys when neighbors came to their rescue. The outraged citizens caught one of the men and used the duct tape to stick him to a pole until police arrived.

Authorities said the man will be formally charged later this week.
