I loved the book "Red October", and "Red Storm Rising" was also good. But his writing then went downhill fast.
I also loved the movie of "Red October", but his other movies have blown.

mind you, this was back when I was 15. But Red Storm Rising does take credit for interesting me in international politics. I really liked the scope of that one. Clear and Present Danger and Sum of All Fears were good (again, from a teenaged perspective). I recently tried to pick up one of his more recent ones. Something about cyber war.... GAWDAWFUL!!!! I lasted only a couple chapters. Top his credit, I believe it was co-authored.
